A sketch/painting of Dianne.
Thanks much Andrea!
Very very nice portrait, dear Elena! You are very talented! Congratulations!
Big hugs with much love, Stefania!
wonderful fluid handling of paint, I love the yellow drip!
Beautiful, Elena. I see a face near her right shoulder, not people dancing…
Stunning painting You inspire me to try this – I’m usually too intimidated to even attempt painting a portrait. Being able to erase is the only thing that saves me at all when it comes to faces…lol
Allyson, all I do is try. About half of these experiments wind up as collage fodder. I say take the risks-all you have to lose is a little time and paper (which can motivate something new too). Thanks for your kind words:)
Gorgeous capture of expression Elena!
I love Watercolo(u)r Wednesdays! This is gorgeous, Elena.
You paint so loosely but create the most incredible details.
Thank you Karen! BTW, I do like the other way to spell watercolor-with the U;)
it’s we Canadians with our silly colours…
What a beautiful, thoughtful portrait! And wonderful use of colour.
i like very much your choice of colours, it ‘s very vivid. Very beautiful
Thank you very much.
She’s amazing! I even see two people dancing and playing music over her right shoulder!
How bout that-didn’t see it till you brought it to my attention. Thanks Christina!
Very beautiful, great work!
I love this Elena. Fabulous!
I don’t know anything about watercolor, but I know that one day I’d love to dabble in it. But what I really wanted to say is that I love how the color drips on her forehead. Just excellent!
Thank you! I don’t know too much about watercolor either, so for the past several months I’ve been experimenting. I’ve found I’m very fond of drips:)
I love when you use so much color! My eyes get so happy. It’s beautiful.
Thank you! I love the image of happy eyes:)
Stunning. I’m speechless.
OH my! High praise indeed;) Thank you.
Elena, she’s a charmer.
Very, very lovely. I like the drippiness.
Ah, for the love of innocence. This is a most remarkable piece – filled with emotion. Simply wonderful painting Elena!
Thanks much Mary.
What is she thinking about? Looking at? She is so focused. Lovely color palette.
Wow, it needs so much practice and talent to be so good!
Just a lot of practice. Thank you:)
It’s lovely Elena. Dianne must be pleased
As always, I love your technique!
Thanks very much.
I love the naturalness of this portrait inviting me to wonder what is passing through the model’s mind.
Thank you Louis.
I love the use of colour in this one, Elena. Beautiful.
Thank you Laura.
beautiful shy smile I loved it. You did as always so nice painting. Thank you, love, nia
Ok..I’m going to ask the question! Who is Dianne?
Beautiful portrait too
My beautiful niece. Thank you Shree:)
The eyes in this are beautifully shaped, Elena. I like that her features are not perfectly square on too.. The subtle difference between the left side of her face and the right is most effective and the body slightly turned. Great job!
Thank you Helen!
That’s interesting, eyes usually tell the story in a portrait, but here you’ve captured a lovely essence – almost like a Mona Lisa, with an inner secret…
Thank you very much. It’s my model. She just has that quality.
Beautiful! Such a lovely expression.
Thank you Lemony
She is beautiful! love the color..
Your talent is coveted
Like she could look up and smile at any moment
And she did:)
