Sketchbook Potential

This sketch originated from another scrap of a ripped up monotype that turned on its side, happens to resemble a face and hat of a fairy tale character.  The rest is improvised. I think it just might turn up again as a fully realized children’s book illustration.

  1. This sketch takes you into a different world – a world of magic. Amazing work as always, Elena.

  2. this is so cool, love that little chattering thing perched on his hand, as well as the hand and the hat is quite fascinating!

  3. Oooh, the spooky long fingers and that serious, thoughtful look on her face. A little creepy! Or perhaps she’s just having an intense conversation with that little critter perched on her knuckle! Fun and perfect for the upcoming holiday!
