They are covered with what I call swamp confetti. It’s a wonder they can move around at all when at this time of year, plants claim much of the swamp water. I just love to watch them-do it for hours.
Interesting critters, am always surprised at how well snakes adapt to swimming in water… Those sinuous, sinewy side movements. As a matter of interest where is the swamp located?
nice perspective 🙂
thanks
I love the swamp, these are fantastic!
Thanks Christina, I’m a swamp fan too.
Gotta love the turtle. Where do you find all these animals?
My husband and I LOVE the Great Swamp. Only a few miles from our home. All these creatures and many more live there.
Oh, that is wonderful. I wish I had such creatures in my proximity.
great pond shots
Thanks!
The turtle’s head popping through the swamp confetti is lovely-off to a wedding perhaps?
Entirely possible;)
I like the textural contrasts created by your ‘swamp confetti’.
Thank you.

These were taken at The Great Swamp, New Jersey. Oh, I agree. The snakes move at lightning speed and yet they are all muscle.
Cute ! They made me smile. I like it.
Me too. Thank you Yoshizen.
amazing photographs!!
Thank you Carol!
I love these. Especially the frog.
I’m a froggy fan too. Thanks Janet.
