Elena these are so fantastic. The expressions are so powerful. I love how you’re creating something dreamlike and light, but at the same time intense and strong..captivating..
I love the mingling of colors. These creatures are likely very wise and are inclined to watch and listen rather than speak. Maybe they are intense and focused in their listening, not sullen.
That is a gripping stare on the first one! Yes, a story is behind that “look” for sure. The second one so oblivious looking, ears flopping in the wind, delightful, carefree, both lovely and great colors as always elena!
What a reality even though she was only an imaginary figure.
Shape, details, and colorings = show the Character and implied story or
context —— all in one integrated world !
It’s your perfect imagination and the skill to convert it as a drawing !!!
I particularly like the first – the intense penetration of the stare, the effectiveness of the colour choice. But they’re certainly unnerving – not the sort of creatures to have on your mind at bed time!
Nice work the sullen face is really strong. D
Thanks very much!
I love your creativity and your mention that you did not know why the big ears. I really enjoy that unpredictable aspect of artistic expression.
Thank you! Me too;)
Elena that top creature is full of emotion – sad, thoughtful and utterly brilliant..
Thank you very much Helen!
There is an artist in Houston, Kelley Devine, who comes to mine when I look at your work. She paints portraits of women with animal horns added.
Thank you Ron, I will check it out!
Brilliant! The dancing goblin (is it a goblin? i see a goblin) is wonderful! Lost in the moment. Glad i found your blog today!
Thank you! Goblin works for me! Thanks for viewing.
The first one is my favorite. It feels a little more solid. The colors are great on both of them.
Thanks Gabriel!

Thank you. Much appreciated:)
Wonderful work. Alice in Wonderland meets The Hobbit by way of a 60’s vibe. Very well done. 🙂
Yeah, you could say that! Thank you:)
There are beautiful paintings! I love colors too!
Have a wonderful day and a splendid weekend, dear Elena!
Thank you! Enjoy your weekend as well!
Those colors…I really love how you use so many different ones. Gorgeous.
Thanks!
you are a magician
I hope you get published.
Thanks so much Barbara! I’ve illustrated a couple of children’s books and one of my own. But someday I’d love to put together a fine artsy book.
So awesome!!!
Thank you!

Perhaps that’s true Adrienne. I shouldn’t pre-judge them. Thank you!
😦 … what’s going through the mind of the first creature? Looks burdened with troubles. I want to put my arm around it and offer a listening ear.
You are a great Dad, no doubt;)
It would be an interesting experiment to see the face on the first painting on a more human-like form as well. Would it seem more or less haunting?
Good question-maybe I’ll take it there one day.

Thanks Christina!
These are strange and very gorgeous paintings. The eyes of the first are just amazing 🙂
Strange is my middle name;)
The first is reminiscent of the movie ‘Avatar’ for some reason…!?!
They are just lovely….!
True. Hadn’t thought of it, the color for sure. Thank you!
These are lovely. The first one with it’s defiant sadness is captivating. But they’re both great.
Thanks much Richard.
Nosferatu ( Werner Herzog ).
ish. Yes, very wonderful and scary.
The color and emotion in the first piece is amazing!
Thank you Micha!
Wow, the first image is awesome! Congratulations – great creativity, really a fantastic piece.
Thanks much Karen. I love your scenario.

Oh my! Thanks very much!
I see vestiges of Gollum, Yoda, & Bottom. Pieces of human nature in caricature. Very imaginative!
Thanks Scilla!
Wow! The second is cool and mischievous, but that first one is too cool! What a face! Fantastical!
You are the creature expert! Thanks much!

Oh, so kind. Thank you Yoshizen.
Like the playfulness of the second one.
He’s up to no good;)

So true:) Thanks Louis.
The better to hear you with!
For sure:)
I loved them too… Should be a story of them, 🙂 Thanks and Love, nia
Thank you Nia. Maybe you can come up with one:)
Oh Elena! They are Beautiful and intense.
Perhaps they are earth listeners – and they are saddened by what they hear…
That first one – those browns and blues, and that gaze – Incredible, I can’t stop looking.
