  1. Beautiful, whatever day of the week. 🙂

  2. Oh, that is stunning, Elena.

  3. Love this! Such perfectly simple monochrome..and exquisite detail. Terrific!

  4. Such a simple image – and yet so expressive. For me it’s a statement about the ever changing nature of life, running in circles between life and death. I really love the monochromatic palette with just a hint of brownish colour tones. Beautiful.

  5. Love the brooding intensity of the background, and the grasping claws of the plant (of course).

  6. cool dry look 🙂

  7. I nominated you for awards. You can go to and pick them up. Naturally, there are rules. Congratulations.

  8. oh i’m seeing all kinds of freaky things in there already 🙂
    great texture and muted colors!

  9. The bleached-out landscape up close! I love those tones – and the gently falling snow!=)

  10. Wonderful picture! Absolutely wonderful!

Big hugs, much love, Stefania! 🙂

  11. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this shot!!

(and thanks for the kind words you left me on visionandverb today……another male knitter in your family!! maybe he’ll teach some little person sometime….and look at what he could start?!)

  12. This really neat! Great neutral colors, and of course I can image it as building materials for a gnome house of some sort. Perhaps an overhang or decorative embellishment over a tiny gnome tree door? 🙂

  13. I like this – the composition, the contrast between shapes and lines, the textures, the subtle tones

  14. I just love this photo…The gray/brownish tones are beautiful together.

  15. Stunning in its simplicity
