Stunning painting 🙂 You inspire me to try this – I’m usually too intimidated to even attempt painting a portrait. Being able to erase is the only thing that saves me at all when it comes to faces…lol
Allyson, all I do is try. About half of these experiments wind up as collage fodder. I say take the risks-all you have to lose is a little time and paper (which can motivate something new too). Thanks for your kind words:)
I don’t know anything about watercolor, but I know that one day I’d love to dabble in it. But what I really wanted to say is that I love how the color drips on her forehead. Just excellent!
The eyes in this are beautifully shaped, Elena. I like that her features are not perfectly square on too.. The subtle difference between the left side of her face and the right is most effective and the body slightly turned. Great job!
That’s interesting, eyes usually tell the story in a portrait, but here you’ve captured a lovely essence – almost like a Mona Lisa, with an inner secret…
Amazing!
Thanks much Andrea!
Very very nice portrait, dear Elena! You are very talented! Congratulations!
Big hugs with much love, Stefania! 🙂
Thanks Stefania!
wonderful fluid handling of paint, I love the yellow drip!
Thanks John!
Beautiful, Elena. I see a face near her right shoulder, not people dancing…
