BTW. “Portrait Of A Girl And Her Art” arrived the other day – it’s such a beautiful book Elena. It must have been such a wonderful project to complete.
My girls (12 and 8) love it and are plenty inspired!
I’m THRILLED that the girls like the book! Thank you so much not only for ordering, but for the feedback. Yes, it was a pleasure to put together. I hope the girls post some of their work! Nothing better than a new generation of creative thinkers/artists:) Thank you.
A quick one? This looks like it took several hours (or it certainly would for me…lol) And I love it because it reminds me of an off beat novel I’m reading at the moment.
Oh it’s called Neverwhere, by Niel Gaiman. Lots of strange and shady characters I”ve grown to love as I read it again…lol Coraline is another favorite of mine by him as well, for the dark imagery.
Your water colour work always fascinates me. This one is both beautiful, mysterious and lively at the same time. The figures really seem engaged in their study – and entangled in each other. And then what fascinating characters. From a different world? From another dimension? From another time?
This is gorgeous, such yummy colors! Fun image of intense meeting. I imagine the lecture is about taking care of a long nose during the winter months so it does not turn into a branch.
Wow, I love it! I really love these colors, I don’t know if you’ve often used a similar palette, or maybe more purple recently (which I shall never complain about) but whatever it is the quality of the colors is amazing. Maybe very fancy paints? It does seem like an adventure or mystery or secret meeting. Many possibilities! Wonderfully strange characters too. 🙂
Again, you did a beautiful painting! Congratulations dear Elena!
Big hugs, much love, Stefania! 🙂
Thanks Stefania!
I see two lawyers looking for evidence that might be used to defend their clients who have been charged with embezzling company funds!
Yes! Could very well be:)
super nice 🙂
Thanks Joshi!
Always happy when Wednesday comes around again 🙂

Beautiful colour palette Elena. There’s something other worldly going on here for me, perhaps even Star Warsy (is warsy a word, I don’t think so) ?
Warsy is a word here;) I hadn’t thought of Star Wars, but def. in my collective dreamy place!
I like the colors–blue and purple are my faves. Love the long-nosed fellows and the texture on the man with the hunched back’s sleeves.
Thanks Jill!
Full of energy, simply beautiful, not more I can add to that….
That’s lovely-thank you!

What is the name of the book? I adore off beat, but you can probably tell;) Thanks Allyson!

I wish I new where they came from Otto;) I’m pleased that you are enjoying the watercolors. Thank you.
it’s the same colours as the yarn in my favourite jumper!
i like it a lot…especially the oddity Others, looking patient and quizzical.
Thank you Janna.
An entanglement. Beautifully mysterious – I’d like to be a fly on the wall nearby…
Oh, me too Karen:)
Beautiful colors… wonderful and strong painting… great!
Thank you Guy!

A wizard, pachydermatous helpers, a map (Time Bandits)…an adventure, dear Elena, is coalescing.
Spot on!
