I want to say that the little bud looks all protected inside…but then..the white is actually snow isn’t it? Hmmm…..
Oh..it’s like though we *are* protected in life, it doesn’t mean that we go through it smoothly and easily….because lessons that we learn come from ALL types of experiences!
Someone would have missed this beautiful bud, as it’s longing to pop open was peeking through the brown shreds of coverings. You have the eye and gave it magnificence even before it springs open.
The husk of a rose of sharon, simple and alluring,
The day that you came
split me wide open, the husk
remains in your hands
Chillingly beautiful…
Thanks:)
And so the world begins again… welcome back =]
Yes, welcome:)

Very nice you surprised flower cotton (I think it is)!
Big hugs, dear Elena! 🙂
That’s so lovely. The snowflakes look like they are being released from that little winter bud.
I found it fetching. Just captured it. Thank you Karen.
Interesting shot Elena.
Was this cotton flower ?
—– or it got snow inside ? 🙂
It’s a dried bud from a rose of sharon plant, filled with new snow:)
Nice contrasts in the bud – the textures, the sharp points against the soft remains of the flower, light against strong dark.
Thanks much Louis.
Spring!
Almost;)
Lovely Elena… very wintery..
Lots of white winter today. Thanks Helen.
