This is a great shot, Elena! They are such lovely birds. We have Juncos here, too. In fact we found one dead in the yard when the kids were little and we had to bury it! They made a marker for it and everything!
Junkos (i think it is though maybe it’s not black enough) I love this shade of gray on the birds and the mushing into the contrast color..it fascinates me for some reason. Someone pointed out that I have a thing for lines and edges, veils.

I’m not familiar with the bird but the subdued tones of the background harmonize beautifully with its soft plumage.
These are juncos, and they really are lovely birds.

Such sweet little juncos. These photographs make it look windy, but perhaps it’s just the movement of the bird itself.
A bit windy this day, but they were energetically flying to and from our feeder.

Yup, juncos. I love the values of gray as well. I can also see the appeal of lines and edges.
