Elusive

btochin copy

Acrylic and oil on canvas 18″x24″

For this piece, I followed the same procedure as  “Active Resolve” .   I’m finding it a satisfying process, at least for the moment;)

  1. Struggling to load the comments boxes here, but wow! These latest ones are just incredible Elena, somehow you’ve really captured a feeling of this new generation..I may be wrong, but these figures seem very much of today, the whole feeling from them, the tones, even. This one particularly I find incredibly powerful..keep on I say, you’re really into something here!

  2. Amazing portrait! Amazing work! Chromatics also exceptional! Congratulations, Elena, work and your talent!
I really like the picture! Thank you for sharing!
All the best to you! ❤ 🙂

  3. I say: I like the tension between the “controlled part and less controlled background” . It attracts the viewer to watch and to observe this work for long time….
difficult to find, catch, or achieve such moment and to capture this particular gesture… but you did it … elusive? For others, not for you! . I like the title as well. 🙂

  4. As always, splendid. I love the additional mystery and layering, the rich and deeply painterly in-process marvel of the background contrasting with and supporting and highlighting the graceful, lively brushwork of this beauty. Love it.
    xo,

  5. My eyes move from her eyes to her expression,to her hand, then to the background.Very beautiful geometry and rhythm. So haunting…She seems to never linger in the past and lives in the moment, not thinking about tomorrow.Actually whatever I say, only words maybe means nothing because I’m no expert or something.I cannot analyze it,I have no skill like that, but it is great work as always 🙂

  6. I instantly fell in love with this Elena – the background feels on first glance like it shouldn’t really work, but it so does! It’s beautiful and evocative.

  7. I like the structure. Other than her very realistic face and a hand, it is just an
abstract space though, it created a strong atmosphere, her stubborn world.
Impressive painting, —– but pretty strong to me.
