I think this is one of the most beautiful paintings I’ve ever seen. He must be chuffed. Incredible work Elena. *smiles*

Tommy’s eyes are young, despite his body: they show in his mouth
His eyes are always glittering. Thank you M. Lewis:)
Wonderful – those eyes!

Wonderful work, Elena. He looks like he has a lot to say but is hesitant to say it, and has come to the conclusion that he is okay with that.
Sounds about right, James:) Thank you.
That’s just marvellous, Elena.
I just unsubscribed and re-subscribed to your blog as I haven’t been receiving email notifications. I wish WP would fix this!

Amazing!! Simply fabulous!

This is, by far, your best painting yet, Elena. The lighting is superb. The brush strokes are wonderful, your model’s pose is perfect, and his facial features and expression are sublime. It’s going to be hard for you to top this. I wish I had more time for painting, but a 9 to 5 job and other responsibilities keep getting in my way.
Thanks so much, Jill. I’m pretty happy with this one. You’ve got to find a moment or two to pull out those watercolors!
A moving blend of awareness of the present and a nostalgic glance to the past to the world of childhood.
Yes, as we age that look back is inevitable. Thanks, Marcelo.
Excellent. I like how the white shirt and beard contrast the black background.
Thank you, Rabirius.
Wow, amazing work as per usual, Elena! His eyes are intelligent and inquisitive.

His eyes, the body language, the light…it’s all so special…

At the risk of sounding like a stuck record…the loving light in your creations is magic Elena. ❤
No stuck record, Jane. Just welcome kindness. Thank you!
Superb. Consider this a blast with bellows 🙂
Thank you, Derrick, I shall!:)
Reminds me slightly of Ken Currie’s later work – face in focus, body less defined.
It’s all about the face for me. The juicy part of painting:) Thanks, Marie.
OH the living energy and light just give life share life, exhibit life with these
Love your poetic words, Elisa. Thank you:)
Your last couple of posts have been great…but this one…this one speaks to me! Wonderful! You bring out so much feeling in this one!
There’s a reason for the feeling:) So pleased that you see it. Thank so very much, Robin.
Kind, wise and so very human.. Elena, you just get better and better! It’s almost like a photograph the way T’s face lights up.
Many thanks, Cath! 🙂
