I am a visual artist. I am an illustrator of children’s books.

My world is a wonder of visual delights and foreboding shadowy shapes, vying every waking moment for my full attention.

    1. What a lovely surprise! So nice to read your message:) Thanks so much for your kind words. I hope to see more of YOUR work on Facebook, and if you have a website or blog, I’d love to follow. Very best to you and family:)

    1. Thank you so very much for your consideration. Yes, it’s true. I just don’t have the time for awards, although I am touched:) Thank you for thinking of me:)

  3. I put you in my list of: Very Inspiring Blogger Award Nominee ā€“ Shout Outs I love your blog.
So you are nominated and can go through the process of nominating others. I stopped sending to others when I hit a road block [someone didn’t want to accept or be part of this – & that’s OK] but now I am leaving it up to you. Go to my blog and look at the requirements.- https://artinstructor.wordpress.com/2015/01/10/very-inspiring-blogger-award-nominee-shout-outs

  4. Hi Elena,
I would love to use a photo of one of your amazing paintings for the book cover of my next short story anthology. I’m seriously poor so I would only be able to offer a very small amount for the right to use the image. If this seems like an insult then please feel free to ignore this request, I will not be upset and I will understand. If you are okay with the idea of a pittance, then I would need a high res photo and appropriate written permission to use the image.
    Love your work, be well.

    1. Hi Terry, Not an insult at all. Let me know which image you have in mind and we can probably reach an agreement. Permission may depend on whose image may appear (if indeed it’s a specific person).

  5. Yours is my newest favourite blog, and to be honest… probably one of the best ever. Your work is mind-blowing. When I look at your paintings I am like a student absorbing all the beautiful qualities – the light and dark, the composition… all the regular art stuff, but it’s the essence of your work that sets you apart… the spirit that you capture, as well as your fantastic technical ability. I admire you and you inspire me!

  6. Hello Elena, I’ve just become aware of your wonderful self portraits and I’m hoping you would like to share them on my collaborative blog on self portraits: http:\\strataoftheself.wordpress.com

  7. Hi Elena!
