A couple of really quick watercolor creatures.
Bird-childish watercolor images merged with a photo of my curtains.
I’ve been observing the birds that come to eat at our feeder. They brave the elements, compete for a place, fuss and play, but they are always on alert. It seems they can rarely truly rest.
Watercolor and gouache on tissue Lots of variation in the new sketchbook. It’s odd to see the difference in technique and mood from page to page. Kind of like the strange perspective of this little painting; the underside of an earnest little bird in flight.
