Bright and Shiny Awards

Fellow bloggers, I learn so much from you.  Thanks to Scriptor Obscura Writes.  I’ve stolen her organizational idea-an entire page devoted to the blog honors bestowed upon her blog.  In the very near future, you will find a tab up top, devoted to this blog’s happy notices.

I’m fortunate to add two new bright spots of recognition. They are the Sunshine Award via visual artist Nuno at Vinyl Eraser and Mrs. Sparkly’s Ten Commandments Award from Jane Thorne‘s wittily written and illustrated blog.  Both are recommended blogs and although we’ve never met in person, written by wonderful people. Thanks ever so much to you both!

Ok, down to business. Here’s where my organizational skills are obviously lacking (no organizational awards for me).  I’ve lost track of blogs that I’ve highlighted with previous awards.  So many have already accepted the above awards.  In addition,  I am terribly confused about which of the myriad blogs I follow welcome the prospect of accepting an award.  Given this mess, I regret to tell you that I will have to forego the nomination of blogs for these new honors. Yes, I am the breaker of chain letters but not usually the shirker of duties, except this time; I’m overwhelmed.

Happily however, I will answer the prescribed questions for each new award.

The Sunshine Award:

Favorite color: Any variation from the red or violet families.

Favorite animal: Tough, but my cats would mutiny if I did not choose them;)

Favorite number: This I must keep secret, or it will cease to be magical.

Favorite non-alcoholic drink: Tea! Chai, Earl Grey, Jasmine, Lady Grey, English Breakfast……

Facebook or Twitter:Both, plus a zillion other platforms.

My passion: My family, art, creatures.

Getting or giving presents: Giving.

Favorite pattern: Partial to polka dots.

Favorite day of the week: Sunday

Favorite flower: Tiger lilies

Mrs. Sparkly’s Ten Commandments Award

1. Describe yourself in seven words.

Visual, creative, devoted, grateful, empathetic, excited,  resigned

2. What keeps you up at night?

My cats, worries for my family and friends, ideas for projects.

3. Whom would you like to be?

Just me, perhaps younger with acquired hindsight;)

4. What are you wearing now?

You don’t want to know.

5. What scares you?

I can’t come up with anything more appropriate than Jane’s response to this question-Pure evil.

6. What are the best and worst things about blogging?

Best-Connecting with people from all over the world. Worst-There’s never enough time!

7. What was the last website you looked at?

If the question was which blog have you last viewed, it would be easy, but last website was probably Listen NJ-to download audiobooks.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

My fearful self.

9. Slankets, yes or no?

Ok, had to google this one.  A definite no.
