How wonderful these would be collected in a book, through the times – I’d so love to have something like that of my family history! Be lovely to see them in a group..I’m still amazed at how you make a splash of colour into a whole person, brimming with personality!
I was thinking, that was a lucky drip and wonder if it was! This is perfect. You do with watercolor such amazingly moving paintings! I wish I could watch you paint! x
Wonderful! Did you only use red? How long did it take you? Is that one drop down from his neck an accident. If it is, it’s perfect… This is so professional.
Not sure if I’ve mentioned it before, but your style has an element of nostalgia to it, at least to me. These remind me of paintings I might find in my grandparents’ home. (That’s intended to be flattering!)
So delicate! Beautiful!
Thank you Laura!

Some very diluted orange and then magenta. It took about ten to fifteen minutes. And yes, the drip is a happy accident. Thanks so much!
Your work always looks so ethereal and sort of vintage. Love!
Vintage because it’s based on old family photos. Thank you!

Oh yes, Jeff. This series is based on old family photos-not portraits, just an essence of the individuals. Thanks so much!
That is one dandy mustache! Great! 🙂

Perfect – fantastic expression and stance. Is this a grandfather perhaps?
A great great grandfather. Thanks Mary:)
