Fall Portrait

bfall

Here is Fall, just as we come to the official close of the season. You many recall my  Winter  and  Spring  portraits. I’ve only Summer to go, and the Four Seasons will be available as prints.

Below you can see the progression of the face. Nothing fancy, just using the brush tool in Photoshop to act as a real brush, accomplished with layers and changes in opacity.   You can see that I was playing with the idea of birds, but decided to keep the portrait very simple. I may fuss with Fall a little bit more.    Thank you to my beautiful model.

  1. Oh my elena! She is EXQUISITE! She glows, and is nothing short of amazing! The work on the neck piece is gorgeous and almost looks like it could fly, like a group of wings knit into a scarf.

    1. Thank you Christina! The illumination from the monitor helps her out a bit. The collar is constructed of a lacy leaf that I found out back and scanned, then reassembled as the collar you see with the aid of PS filters. That is photo manipulated, as well as the back round, but the portrait is a digital painting. Glad you like her:)

      1. Do you freehand the face or load a photo in first? It is amazing and the skin tones are beautiful.

  2. Holy cow! It’s hard to believe that’s not a manipulated photo. Just amazing. And her features and expression are just stunning. Just a hint of melancholy, perhaps? Amazing skin. Wow!
